Your psychologist can refer your case to another psychologist if in case of emergency. As a counselor, sometimes it is necessary to enable the client to find additional sources of support where appropriate. This is where counseling fits into a wider supportive network of organizations and resources. There are a number of potential reasons for making referrals. These include:
a)The client has another need. (e.g. they want information or advice).
b) The counselor lacks specific skills.
c)The client requires another specialist (e.g. there is an apparent mental health problem that is beyond the competency level of the current psychologist).
d)The counselor knows the client beyond the professional basis.
e)The counselor and client are not establishing a therapeutic relationship for some reason (e.g. the client is reluctant to open up to the counselor, personality differences).
f)The counselor has difficulty with the issues being discussed because they have some kind of personal meaning or take them outside of their comfort zone.
g)No progress is being made.
h)The client is exhibiting disruptive behavior that might be harmful to himself or others. Referral is not a sign of weakness or lack of skill.
They have to pay for their session on time as they get training. If the client who intends to receive the services does not pay as agreed, the company has the right to use collection agencies or legal measures to collect the payment. Company will first inform the client that such measures will be taken and provide the client an opportunity to make prompt payment, but if the client still fails to do so then legal measures could be taken.
